Why do people change their usernames? I just don't understand these seemingly innane name-changes. Sure there are times when a person really needs to reinvent themselves, but just because you feel like it? How do you even get bored of your name anyways? I've been Crushermach3 on absolutely everything since Planet Hot WheelsIt's even my Facebook url. Does it make a lick of sense to any random Joe who comes across it? Probably not. But it's mine and only mine and I'm keeping it. Not because I'm used to it by now, but because it's who I identify as. It's who I am as well as who I was. "What's in a name?", some might ask. To me a name that you pick for yourself is an expression of who you are at the time. To lose it in favor of something else is to lose a part of yourself. So, to me at least, changing your name is tantamount to changing your whole identity, and when you've done it, not because you needed to be someone else, but because of such frivolity as you felt like it? It just breaks my heart. And you may never get it back. Ever. It's just gone. *poof* On deviantArt especially. There will probably never be another by the name you just gave up on deviantArt again because you just felt like it. But what do I personally have to do with it? Nothing, that's what. I may not like it when my messages contain a name-change, but what am I gonna do about it without making myself look like a massive pretentious self-righteous prick in the process? In the end it's your own decision to change your own name. Just make sure you know what you're really doing before you do it. (for a similar viewpoint on this see ILoveKimPossibleALot's video here: My Username and Why I Chose To Keep It. She runs an MLP analysis channel. If anyone has reason to change their username it's her.)

Name origin story(feel free to skip):
I was young and I was trying to think of the Mach 5 of Speed Racer fame. Anyways, I typed up Mach3 and signed up with it. By the time I decided to pay another visit however I couldn't remember my password. I tried to sign up with Mach3 again but needless to say it wouldn't let me. [It's really dumb in retrospect but at the time I didn't think there would be anything wrong with two people with the same username and different passwords.] It then redirected me to a page with alternate usernames based on my chosen name. It just added an extra word on to whatever you originally picked [stuff like if you picked "X" it would give you SpeedyX or something to that effect along with 5 or so others to choose from] but hey new name. One variant just so happened to catch my fancy, and thus Crushermach3 was born.

On my art. Anything will do really. Without *something* to work with I'm just sitting around waiting for inspiration to strike me. I've pretty much lost interest in my orbs for now and I'd like something else to work on.

Idea for a game: "Pokémon Ultimate"

A game for home consoles encompassing all known regions and locations whether they be from previous games or the animé, taking place in its own time(re: not during other games). Having so much space to roam around, people to talk to, and tasks to accomplish is on par with an MMORPG in terms of concept art, programming, and writing so why not make it one? Starting areas are taken care of. A class system can be thought up quite easily depending on what direction you take it. Zones for higher level players already exists in current games as does the level-up mechanic and balancing. Super-rares and legendaries would be a concern of mine so making them legitimately hard to get instead of the default reward for completing the main quest is a must, but that's easily taken care of. I think it would be easy as pie.

Sub-games/minor objectives/mini-games:

Play as a pokémon; earn special items for playing mini-games as a pokémon in battle. The better you do at the game the more damage you inflict or debufs you cause. Can substitute the AI for a trainer's pokémon in the main game or act as a wild pokémon(to prevent this system from being abused/taken advantage of; how well you play determines the level of pokémon a player receives upon catching you or the amount of exp. upon defeating you).

Pokémon Contests/Musicals/etc. with new play controls to better take advantage of the hardware.(Musicals could be more like DDR or Dance Central for example.)

Cooking, while not a terribly huge part of the games, can also be implemented in a more fleshed out version. It has all of the ground work in previous games to work off of making it very easy.(berries, puffins, pokéblock, mushrooms, apricorns, etc...)

Mining from D/P/Pl can return for a little variety.

Breeding I think should take longer than just running around for a few minutes.

Developing a relationship with your pokémon can take on more meaning. Though X and Y seem to already be tackling this issue seeing it expand a bit would be nice. Taking out a chosen partner to walk around with you like in several previous games would be a great option.(Having a personality and/or friendship requirement before being able to do this is an idea to prevent absolutely everyone from doing this at once and causing problems, plus it requires more of a commitment than just "insert into first slot".)

^Any of the above can provide their own entertainment value, making battles the preferred, but not the only way to have fun with your pokémon or make them more powerful.(I recently heard of a WoW player who reached level 90 largely using means other than battle.) I remember in the animé an early episode where a vileplume hadn't ever battled before. Yet, when the time came to save it's owner it let out a *very* powerful solar beam. Do you now the reason they gave behind it's great power? Because she took care of it, and very well at that. That's something I would very much like to see be possible.
